Ontario Teen Book Fest—March 25
I'm so thrilled to be returning to the Ontario Teen Book Fest this year on March 25th. I'll be moderating the Thrill Me, Chill Me panel with some amazing authors! This is hands-down the best Teen Book Fest in Southern California so if you're in the area, come on out!
Are you a teacher or librarian? Do you love my books so much that the thought of having me come to your school or library makes you do a wildly inappropriate happy dance? Well, guess what? I can make your dreams come true!
I am available for school and library visits, and we don't even have to be in the same city to make it happen. I'm happy to appear in your classroom via Skype or Google Hangout, as well.
My fees are as follows:
In-person school or library visit within 50 miles of Burbank, CA:
$150 per one hour visit
$400 for a full day (up to 4 presentations, one location; additional fees will be applied for multiple presentations within the same district)
In-person school or library visit 50 miles outside of Burbank, CA (but still within driving distance):
$200 per hour
$500 for a full day (up to 4 presentations, one location; additional fees will be applied for multiple presentations within the same district)
$.30 per mile
All hotel fees if a hotel is required
In-person school or library visit requiring me to get on a plane:
All travel expenses (airfare, hotel, rental car)
$350 for a half day presentation (3 hours, multiple locations okay)
$600 for a full day presentation (6 hours, multiple locations okay)
SKYPE or GOOGLE HANGOUT visits
I can come to your classroom or library virtually! This is a wonderful, budget-friendly option.
$100 per visit
I can come with a ready-made presentation or tailor it to your curriculum. I especially like to talk to students about the writing process, which is ideal for creative writing classes.
I am also available for book club visits!
All fees are negotiable dependent on book sales.
Please contact me at
if you would like to book a school or library visit with me.
I was thrilled to participate in two events at Barnes & Noble’s first ever teen book festival! This was a nationwide event at B&N stores across the country.

LA Times Festival of Books
I was honored to moderate an amazing panel on the YA Stage at the LA Times Festival of Books. LATFOB is the biggest book festival in Southern California,
and one of the biggest in the country. My panel focused on all things fantasy with authors Susan Dennard, Cecelia Ahern, Cindy Pon, and Elissa Sussman.
Ontario Teen Book Festival
For years I’d heard about OTBF and it absolutely lived up to the hype. What an incredible book festival! If you are in the SoCal area in March, you must check it out. One of the best days of my writing life! AND we sold out of books!
